Re: Sightings at TM

Mike,

Nice to see the bobber hanging on the end - really finishes off the train - looks great - as usual, nice work by you and your dad.

Also like the lighted cab view - has to make evening/night running a lot easier.

Re: Live Steam article about track level cart

Benjamin,

Can't help with the article in Live Steam, but here is an article that I remembered in the Discover Live Steam e-magazine
http://www.discoverlivesteam.com/magazine/156/index.htm
Hope this helps.

I agree -- sounds good. Can't wait to see/hear it running on air on the tracks even though it will be "gas powered" (LOL).

Jeff -

I agree with Jim - WOW, FANTASTIC. I was just in the process of converting the trucks to 2.5 scale from the set of stock car plans I got from you. You just made life a lot easier!!! Thanks for sharing the plans.

Re: Easy, quick, & cheap trucks?

I think that the article Pontiac is refering to is one that Bob Maynard published in Live Steam in the early '70s. I got a copy of it from my dad (William Fitt who at the time published Live Steam Magazine). The article was about making economy trucks from bar stock and had 2 different versions - on...

Mike

Nice job - as usual. This now means that you should be able to turn out a flat car in half a day or less. :D

Re: building a 3" scale bobber caboose

Having followed all your other "builds" I have to say that you and your dad are doing the same excellent job with the bobber. The attention to detail is what makes it stand out. Very nice work. Can't wait to see it on the rails behind the MEG.

2.5 Scale detail parts

I am thinking of building in 2.5 scale starting with building stock car, box car, caboose and maybe a reefer. The questions I have are mainly about obtaining the necessary detail parts that include items like - grab irons and steps, door hinges and handles, side door bottom and top guides, latch har...
