Re: Here Goes

This is the 8ftx 7ft garage door. It will be replaced with a 10x10 roll up door. It has a small pad but I forsee a larger pad in the future.

Re: Here Goes

FWIW I've had problems with other sites as well. Both Photobucket and Google Drive generate URL's but some hosting sites(?) don't read them apparently. Am thinking I may go back to PC and ditch the tablet for this sort of thing.

Re: Here Goes

Thanks Bill. The shop is two sections, 28x20 and 28x31. The larger space was unfinished so I framed and sheathed with OSB. One wall has the lateral files and 10ft bench as shown. That side will also house the 12x36 lathe and 9x49 mill. The other side will be grinders, welding, mill drill, etc. That ...

Re: Here Goes

As for climate control..........I'm still studying that...........I'm in OK not AZ as the song says but it does get hot. Heating is not such a serious issue. A friend owns a motel and have considered 2 or 3 of the two way units he uses or the mini split units I hear discussed. Again I'm open to sugg...

Re: Here Goes

dcmus-- That's a great looking space! How are you going to heat and cool it? --Bill Good question. I used fiberglass batts in the 8ft walls of large section. The 20x28 has a loft with C perlin joists above the dropped ceiling. I don't think there's insulation behind those walls so unsure what to do...

Re: Here Goes

Thought I'd post a couple pictures of the new shop in progress. This is last summer when I moved in. http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee25/dcmus/Hobby20008.jpg It's 30' by 50' and had two 20' rooms with a 10' room in the middle. I removed the middle divider and framed 30x30, which would up being 2...
