Greg, you should know by now that Jack made the stanchions full sized and just has an enormous lathe, vice, mill and saw assembly. Not to mention a full array of gigantic number 2 pencils! :lol:

Tim B. - is the book you are refering to "The Complete Metal Smith" by Tim McCreight?
My high school jewelry teacher gave me that book as a graduation gift. Lots of great info in it.
I was about to thumb through it for the patina recipe until I saw your post.

Hi wa6mdi, As you mentioned that this is mainly happening on curves, I would check your wheel gauge on the truck(s) that are derailing. If it is happening on the same curve or the same point at the railroad have your track crew check the rail gauge. I went through this with one of the passenger cars...
