It sounds like the OP might be working on an AR 15 lower reciver papper weight. Thay are usley done with a jig to get every thing right.

A radius turning tool would be the best way to cut that. There is serveral plans out there to build one if you don't have one.

The Grizzly unit looks like it would be easier to use, but it's stated accuracy (0.01) makes me believe it is intended for wood working, also the photo shows it being used on wood. I have a set of telescoping gauges that is fairly accurate. With this dial caliper I knew it would only be good to 0.0...

That is probly a replacment for a spicfic machine. it most likeley had a molded strain relief molded to the cable. I would just make a plate to cover it and use a romex conector.

I have had this set from HF for a couple of years and have sprayed everything from base coat clear coat auto paints to enamel and also use them for stains and urathane for wood. Most dro's are as simple as the online cal.that you used. Where I work the old time machinest said thay could figuer it out on paper faster . I too, didn't install limit switches for my home made power feed but wonder if they/it could be installed on the back side of the table? Enything you mount on the back of the table will take up y axes. I had my DRO scale on the back at first and lost about 1" of travle . If you want a dro and ...

The limmit goes on the front of the table. I didnot install it as I have an Igaging scale mounted there. You have to remove the table locks and the pointer.
