Re: Converting a Coles 0-4-0 to a NG 0-4-4t
Hello Friends, Fast forwarding a year later, we've got an update! No, it's not regarding the pandemic... It's about the little ol' forney! Over the past few months I've finally stabilized my work schedule, and allotted some personal time to get the locomotive project going again. As stated before, t...

Re: What wheel arrangments work best on a high line?
Shild, I am going to have to agree with Pontiacguy1 and Jack B. on this. Something like the Raritan or the tanker Jack mentioned are great options (assuming you're choosing a locomotive to build). Sometimes though, you must go with what you've got. For example, I have been plugging away at my little...

Fitchburg Chloe: The Best of Both Worlds
Howdy Everyone, Been awfully busy making progress on the little forney (will update soon), and developing my other projects. Some of you may have come across my last little inquiry under the "live steam" section requesting information about a Uintah locomotive. Also hinting at the developm...

Fender,
It truly was an impressive railway. Stocky yet maneuverable and powerful. Love the story of every locomotive there. Gotta love narrow gauge!

Dang! Look at that. Great work, bud. Enough of my union break. Gotta’ get the ol’ gloves back on and get ready to start setting pylons again. Fantastic push.

Re: Uintah #20 0-6-2t
Thank you for the responses! Super cool pictures! Yes the De Goyler library does have the drawings. Karel was nice enough to send me the information I needed. Fender, yes there were only two built. #20 and #21 at the Uintah Railway. You can see ever so subtle differences between the two. And no, the...

Uintah #20 0-6-2t
Hello Friends, I am in search of drawings for the Uintah #20 0-6-2t. It will aid in the development of a very cool project I am working on to hopefully bring something new to the community. The ideal scenario would be to have an erection drawing of the entire locomotive. However, the main dimensions...

Re: Converting a Coles 0-4-0 to a NG 0-4-4t
Hello Friends, Another quickie today. I am not posting any pictures until this next phase of the build is complete; however, I have been making some chips little by little over these past few weeks. The rear frame section is almost done. The biggest challenge was designing it in such a way that the ...
