Re: Tools for sale

If this is your FIRST post it shouldn't be in the WTB/FOR sale forum.
I do beleive its not allowed?
This is one way we protect ourselves from SCAMMERS.

Carbide endmills in a Endmill HOLDER

When using an endmill holder, with HSS endmills they usually have flat(weldon style)
to mate with the set screw.
If you were to use a carbide endmill in the same holder can one grind a flat on the carbide
shank? Or will the set screw cause the shank to crack/fracture?

Re: ROCKWELL 21-122 milling machine REBUILD

I wasn't too happy with the arrangement of tightening to the faceplate so I took some measurements and made spacers that had to have a taper filed on the bottom to mate with the column. Pic 1 shows these spacers. They tightened up nicely and w/o using the .005" spaccer shim. There was no guess ...

Re: Clock/Watch making

What I had in mind is bypassing the design of a rolex/analog watch and not using some sort of winder spring. Is by starting with a 300 rpm AC synchronus motor and creating a gear train from the power source using delrin invoulute gears on drill rod shafts and using ceramic hybrid bearings instead of...

Clock/Watch making

Hello.
Are there any members here that are involved in Clock making?
I have a project in mind that I'd like to get some answers to before
digging in and getting started.
Or any recommendations to a forum that can point beginners in the right direction.

Re: ROCKWELL 21-122 milling machine REBUILD

The last attachment I'll be posting is a slotting head off a Parkson horizontal mill.
I hope I can get to that next weekend.

Re: ROCKWELL 21-122 milling machine REBUILD

The right angle head was designed to work with Bridgeport type mills that have a 3-3/8" quill dia. So for a Rockwell@ 2.95" an adapter sleeve solves that problem. But the bigger problem is that the Bridgeport had 5" of quill travel to the Rockwell's 2.6" An R8 shank is about 4&qu...
