Re: Boiler Check Valve Manufacturer?

I hope this is just as easy.
I’d like a top mount double check with diffuser for a 1-1/2” scale project. Any thoughts? Anyone ever make one from a drawing?
Even commercially?
A Nathan Type T would be nice but not picky at this point.

This is the headlight grill on an FA. If you’d like a photo with a yardstick included I can go back and get it for you.

Re: RIP Ray Dwyer

The first time I met Ray was in my backyard in Ballston Spa for the very first meeting of what was to become Adirondack Live Steamers. That was in May of 1983. At the end of the day a hat was passed to start the treasury and a date and location set for meeting #2. Little did any of us know at the ti...

Re: Adirondacks Live Steamers' 2012 Fall Meet - PHOTOS

The pipe approach was considered. The cost of the pipe is the issue, about the same as concrete in our area. When the costs were compared it was almost a wash. Longevity tipped the scale in the concrete direction. I dare say over the years we had at least a dozen tunnel concepts. You name it, we pro...

Re: Adirondacks Live Steamers' 2012 Fall Meet - PHOTOS

Bill Eckert does a wonderful (and nearly thankless) job with our website. He can only post photos that are sent to him, however. Nothing new sent, nothing new to be seen on the website. I am as much to blame as anyone else, will send some recent photos to Bill very soon. And....THANKS BILL! :) To an...

Re: Adirondacks Live Steamers' 2012 Fall Meet - PHOTOS

Hi all, The ALS mainline is currently 5,250 feet, just short of a mile. The remaining trackage in yards and sidings is about that much more. I don't think anyone's ever measured it. Something else to do. The trusses for Dean's Bridge were found behind a Warren County garage on Rt 28 north of Warrens...
