Re: New member saying hi!

Welcome aboard! We're a pretty friendly bunch and there is some real expertise here. So don't hesitate to ask a question, no matter how simplistic it might seem. No one is going to flame you (because Harold don't cotton to that!)

Pro tip RE overdosing on Metamucil: you're not supposed to smoke it.
So you tried it? What was it like?
I don't recommend you take it IV either; it'll really clog you up!

I have found that wood holes to stick things into or boards drilled and then split, rust the tools they hold. I don't know why.
Must be the environment humidity or that jug of muriatic acid you saved.
That would do it, but it might also be the wood. What species have you been using?

Drill a bunch of closely spaced 1/2" thru holes.

Bandsaw the wood in half (with the 1 on the table and the 2 vertical).

Now you have two scalloped trays.
I like that!

Re: CME 4-jaw chuck

Correct, the Dual Drive uses an L00 -- I suspect that's partly why used ones are hard to find. They do say they are 2 pc, removable jaws, which is nice. They have pictures of 4 jaw chucks with slots, but don't indicate which sizes have them. I'm thinking a 10" -- I have both an 8" and a 15" 3-jaw, a...
