Re: Which rotary table?

$75 must be the hot price for old Troyke Turntables!
I also pickup a 15” for $75 off CraigsList

I see another out there for $300
It looks cleaner than my $75 one

Re: Garage-Eating Machine Arrives at Rigger's

Series I Bridgeport J Head in the back of my Ford F150 4x4 for 350 mi.
The weigh was no problem but had a little side roll, like having a camper on.
Ordered shocks after I got home. But no problem.

Re: Show us your lathe!

Just received the Serial Card for my 16”/24” x 10’ South Bend 79833
Looks like it was born a 16” and the 24” added later.
It has only moved 60 miles in the last 75 years and I moved it 45 miles of the 75 mi.

Re: Lifting Series I Bridgeport

I found a 5/8” eye bolt out of electric motor but was Leary on the quality of the eye bolt.
Used slings with carpet samples for pads. Large BobCat worked out well and BP is now sitting just inside my basement door. It will be rollers, pinch bars and come along for the next 20’
Piece of cake!

Re: Lifting Series I Bridgeport

Thanks for the input. Once I remove the straps securing to my truck I find it is taped 5/8 NC. Where I bought it had it bolted to a good skid and had enough forklift to get it to the front of my pickup. Didn’t want to lift from the top. All I need now is a machine big enough to lift it out of my pic...

Lifting Series I Bridgeport

I have a Series I Bridgeport in the back of my pickup right now. Placed there by a large fork lift with extension tines. Is it safe to lift them from the top? 6000 nylon sling just behind the head next to the column and choker to the rear to make it hang straight. It just followed me home after 14 h...
