Re: David Sclavi

Dave’s video are quite interesting & educational. Very sorry to hear of his passing. Since YouTube videos do disappear there are free programs that will allow you to download them & keep a copy for yourself.

Spotted on the Move!

Driving southbound on I-90 today between the Wisconsin Dells & Tomah when I spotted going northbound a flatbed semi loaded with what appeared to be two or more 15 inch gauge gons and a yellow work type caboose with what appeared to have a Chicago Northwestern logo. Any ideas what I might have se...

I’m only about $309,999 short. Not to mention a place to run it.

Re: Cement ties

Keep in mind that the Class 1's had a lot of trouble with Concrete Ties. For starters they discovered that they don't lock into the ballast like wood ties do. If you look at a used wooden tie, the sides look like they were beaten all over with a hammer. That's the ballast squeezing into the ties, Co...

Re: Arborway, T.T. and NW Closed

So sad. All the money, effort & infrastructure work that was done to create that railroad for maybe 15 years? Hope the equipment goes to good homes, but it will probably be scattered across the country. Likely to never see anything like it again.

Republic Lagun LTV-3 - $4000

I have a Republic Lagun FTV-03 mill that has been converted to CNC using Mach 3 Software. When it was converted to Mach 3 the motors were replaced as well as the ball screws. The belts in the head were replaced a couple years ago. It has a power drawbar, which was also replaced at the same time. The...
