Great to see you back at it & that you survived the move! I am encouraged by your ways of getting the "bugs" out.

Re: Fabricated Cylinders

It has been a while since I have seen a bottle jack disassembled, I did not know how thick the walls were. I was not sure if there was thickness to allow for studs. Many years ago, my grandfather repaired them as a retirement job.

Re: Fabricated Cylinders

I wonder how the cylinder ends were fabricated and attached..surly threaded like a pipe fitting would not be acceptable?

Re: Fabricated Cylinders

I appreciate all the great input from everyone. Hogging out of solid stock seems very intimidating for the larger scales versions.

Re: Davenport diesel-mechanical

Great looking machine! I like your use of color as well. We would love to see your construction photos as you progressed along if possible. True prototype based small diesel locomotives seem rare in this hobby and they are a treat to see.

Sweet Pea boiler

Hello everyone. In researching a Sweet Pea project, the design calls for a 5" marine type (Bagnall style) boiler. The design is for all copper. From all the feedback I have seen, the design works and steams well and a few have added a small steam dome to make sure priming does not occur. My question...
