I bought direct fron the factory in China a ditron DRO
After a bit over a year I got a problem with it , but factory send replacement parts for free.

Re: looking for drawing of a basic steam engine

Thanks for all the links.
a lot of reading and lots of usefull info.
Steam is all new to me, so I think that I need some sort of building plan.
All my other build I have done without a plan or even a rough drawing.

Re: Newbie considering a lathe purchase. Help narrow the lis

I would not buy a chinese lathe, you have lost half your money as soon as it is in your shop. I have worked with a small colcester lathe for years, just like the one that is in this ad http://www.ebay.com/itm/Clausing-Colchester-13x36-heavy-duty-geared-head-precision-lathe-4-jaw-3-jaw-/301143637916?...

Re: Chinese DRO - any experience with them?

I have used the scales as mentiond in the post above. They do read up till 0,01 mm , but realy prefer a real DRO. I now have mounted the simple one to the tailstock, and it is great for that. The display of a real dro is a lot better to read and will give a lot more functions. But on a small lathe w...

It is a lot stro...
