Re: 1-1/2" Scale Cast Iron Couplers - Ready To Run - 1 pair per set

I am very pleased with both the iron and stainless couplers you produce. I have about 5 pair on my equipment and they work flawlessly. Great value at regular price but your sale price is too good to pass up. It's nice to have an extra pair or two on hand. I have never had a problem with your coupler...

Re: Advice on the heavy mikado

I would also like to mention another spectacular live steam model that might interest you if you are looking at mid to large live steam locomotives. The model can be detailed just like the prototype or just left plain. Either way it is a spectacularly designed model and in the same approx size as Mi...

Re: Wheels to axles — which Loctite?

We use the 648 at work and have never had any problem in the slightest. Maybe after a few years you can post here again to follow up with your experience with "model glue" as some refer to it as ! Happy railroading!!!!!!!!!

Re: Wheels to axles — which Loctite?

Just following up to see which product you wound up using and if you are happy with the results? I heard someone comment at our club (after reading your post) that some riding car wheels were loctited almost a decade ago and none have failed. The wheels were a constant problem before being loctited ...

Re: Wheels to axles — which Loctite?

Red Loctite is a thread locker. The 600 series are Retaining Compounds. I would use 620 which goes to 450f and is high strength long before I would use Red Threadlocker for securing something to a shaft or axle. When properly applied the Retaining Compound almost acts like a lubricant when pressing ...

Re: Wheels to axles — which Loctite?

648 or 638 depending on fit. Those are the highest strength of the 600 series. No activator needed and contaminant resistant. Look on Henkel / Loctite website for the comparison chart. Once this stuff grabs it is done!!! 609 is an older product.

Re: 17-4 lost wax couplers

Do you have any pilot beam coupler pockets available? There was an inquiry on this board about the Superscale coupler pocket. optigman

Re: **Wanted** Super Scale front coupler pocket.

Dave Bortz sells the front coupler pocket and coupler that was sold by Superscale. He is located in Pennsylvania. He posted about 2 years ago on the For sale forum here. Try a search for stainless steel couplers as I can't locate his contact info. Before Superscale it was Buckeye Model Car Foundry w...
