Re: New (to me) Mill
Got the machines home today. Did a little checking and found the clutch frozen. I think it probably suffers from old dried out lube. There will be a lot cleaning. The prior owner had to get a pacemaker a few years ago after which it was hard for him to do much. His wife died a couple of years ago af...

Re: R-8 Collet Set
The Collet chucks can be very handy. Mine came from Wholesale Tool and uses standard ER-40 Collets. Sells for $148. I passed on the Grizzly since it uses an oddball collet.

The mill has been sitting a few years and needs some serious cleaning. Mill seems to be in good shape and not used a whole lot. The mill is plain Jane but does have ...

Another Kozo A3
Oh what a twisted web I weave! I had started getting things together to do the K27 in 1.5". One of the requisite items was Kozo's A3 book. After receiving the A3 book and looking it over I have decided to do the A3 in 1.5" I have purchased the steel to do the frame. I started milling a lit...

Scaling question
Thinking about Kozo's K-7 built for 7.5 gauge. Would doubling Kozo.s numbers be close enough or should the whole loco be scaled up to 7.5?
