I agree with Russ, a split smoke box is a good idea. When it comes to maintenance in a smoke box, your fingers sometimes are not small enough. Does anyone have a 3/4'' scale tender they would want to sell for a pacific locomotive? It does not need to be complete, I can finish to operating condition. Looking for a tank and frame, a project that may have been started and needs to be finished.

I would speak to Anthony at eccentric engineer about oil burners. He sells great oil burners that work well in the smaller locomotives. He has a little engine pacific in one inch scale that has a oil burner in it and it runs with no problems. I have seen him running with it at LA live steamers. I ha...
