Re: Tig High Frequency Box Help Needed

I am guessing from what you have said that these boxes will work on an Ac or DC welder either one? He had it on an ac weder for aluminum. I have a portable welder that is DC only and goes up to 250 amps. Could run the leads in the shop and use that. The bad part is that I have seen lots of Big welde...

Re: Gun Oil

I think keeping the ways clean and oiled is more important than which oil you use. If gun oil is all you have use it.Back years ago the best I could afford was 10w 30 motor oil.Can do better now but still use it if it hasnt hurt it in the last 28 years dont figure it will.

Re: Measuring tools

After thinking about it the 6" steel rule and 0-6" dial caliper would be the most used. With a center gauge for threading set up, hieght gauge and surface plate for lay out next.Been collecting tools for over 30 years still dont think you can have to many. Good luck Clark

Re: Harbor Freight Cut Off Saw

Victor You are right about the Quality of the blades making a difference. I use Norton brand 14" blades on mine While they cost more you get about 4 times the life of a cheap blade. When it starts to glaze I take a diamond wheel dresser and go across the face to break the glaze and clean it up....
