Got the Pm 727 V up and running. Very happy with this machine-quality out and out and runs smooth as silk. :D

Power Draw bar

plan on making a power draw bar like is on the Tormach 440 for a PM727v -instead of using an impact wrench like Lee did. My question is, does anyone have an idea of what size bore for the actuator or pneumatic cylinder would be minimum to use - all else in the design is pretty clear to me. ANY HELP ...

I have used this type of set up for some time with great results in both a LMS 5500 and larger mills. The system will allow a bit more Z movement than a drill chuck. The real reason for the angle besides wear is to keep it from pulling out of its set. Ron
