Re: HF 44142 Backlash
I have had the same thing happen , twice , the second incident necesitated a proper fix , the repair was handled exactly as described above. The machine I had at the time is a version available in Canada from the house of tools , other than paint colour it is the same as what can be purchased from G...

Re: What bike?
That helps , how about finding a wheel , say one that has a damaged rim and then respoking/truing that hub to your rim and spokes. I do lots of insurance /collision repairs , most of the time if the wheel is damaged it gets replaced , this leaves the original wheel and many other parts that can be b...

Re: Why Phosphur Bronze

How much meat is available to a...

Re: Griz 9729 vs Harbor Frieght
Fred: What Bob said , .................. These machines are very much alike , me being a Canuck , I have not paid a visit to either of the Grizzly or Harbour Frieght stores and looked at them. The 44142 , based on price , sounds like a good deal though. A tooling package sweetens the deal , thats wh...

Re: Scale on Harbor Freight 3 in 1
Britt: Very creative !! . I just browsed pen tools online catalog , quite a selection. Here in western Canada we have similar machinery available , just "rebadged " versions of what is available elsewhere , a couple of local stores , House of Tools, carries " Force " machine tool...

Re: Grizzly 9729
This is my first post , I have been quietly observing for a short time . I own a machine quite similar to the grizz , I believe the bed is a bit shorter ( 20" ) , the swing is more than it can safely or accurately handle ( 16.5" ). I'm not complaining , just stating the facts , I am happy ...
