Re: Trying to prevent ribbing on tapers
Mauro addressed the issue correctly. It is not easy to use a compound and achieve a uniform cut, due to deflection of the slide as you apply pressure. Re: Fed up
Why is it when a friend or family member needs help with something, your there to help, but when you need a helping hand ,everybody disappears or gives you every excuse under the sun why they can't be there. Over the years I've learned how to do everything myself so I don't have to rely on anyone. ...

As a person who fixes the unfixable and repairs the unrepairable, one who, when someone says, “You can’t fix that,” replies, “Watch me,” one who, wh...

Once I was explaining how a certain job should be done to a engineer, at the end of our conversation he told me , you are too complicated. Well for someone who doesn´t know the subject! When we don´t know something it is always difficul...

<snip> My foreman made my life so miserable, I left 6 weeks later. Go figure. I had a similar experience. My conclusion is that when a worker outshines leadership, the worker is a threat. Jealousy on the part of the foreman tends to result in badgering of the perceived threat, with the distinct pos...

Anyway, thank you very much Harold for taking the time to answer. At least now I know what to look for, most sellers just want to sell you a disc and don´t care what is the composition of it.

Re: Chop saw
Harold, I am having difficulty in getting the grinding disc that you have recommended "aluminum oxide" none of the manuals specify what they are made. Do you know if there is a reference or code with numbers or letters to identify this disc?
