Like most, I'm guessing, but my read is that the OP meant 3 or 4 mm and possibly 5 mm.

Re: Polishing Aluminium
I believe what most folks call the Machinist Handbook is actually the "Machinery's Handbook" , machinist just rolls off the tongue easier. Lol You can find it on Amazon or any of the tool sellers carry it. But the current edition is usually quite expensive, Amazon wants over $90.00 for it,...

Re: Help Identify Tool Chests
Is it just me, or has eBay become a waste of time? Just from curiosity, I searched watchmakers chest, just now and the cheapest one listed was $180, far cry from what Seal Killer scored. Earlier today I looked at a new Dewalt circ saw that was $20 more than Amazon???

Seems like a lot of folks here enjoy Mr. Larson's work as much as I do. This linked site has a daily presentation of a few of his comics.

Re: craftsman drill press
I have a Craftsman bought in 1971 with the 45 degree flange, and yes it is for an aux tilting table, which I also have. It is fairly low tech, loosen the center bolt and a manual pin engages in of the drilled holes for common angles. I don't know if the aux table is still available from sears, but e...

Re: 5C spin index wit tailstock?
+1 on this being a useful tool, but just be aware, like a lot of inexpensive imports, they usually need a little TLC. The base is usually not square to the spindle bore and rarely flat. On some the spindle could show some slop back and forth. I have two of them, but not one with a tail stock include...

Re: MT3 Dead Center
Do you know the taper of your headstock? Some 13" SB's are Morse taper 4, in which case you could buy an adapter, probably cheaper than the cost of grinding the dead center. From what I've read, other lathes had a different taper, a SB proprietary taper that I have no knowledge of, so I don't k...

Re: Forced Into the 21st Century
The Hitachi WJ200 seems to be pretty common. If you search for it on Youtube you will find at lest a dozen or so video's, including several on basic setup. I can't vouch for their quality, I didn't watch any of them, just checked to see if there were any, but you might want to go through a few and s...

Re: broken tap removal tool
Nice job creating the tool and getting the broken tap out.
Some times I think you can break a tap just by looking at it wrong. LoL
