I now have this available at;

It’s made with a mineral oil base with traditional rendered tallow, and an additive to help increase lubricity.
The base weight is 320w.

Re: Smoke box throttle

Oil in the boiler? I can see that if the dry pipe is 2 inches long but considering Jim Kreider‘s nickel plate Burke’s for example are all piped that way and there’s been zero issues of oil being sucked back into the boiler, that’s a pretty remote chance of ever happening. Re: Miniature Universal Joints

Just got them, if you have any idea you’re going to use something like this you better get them now. These came out really nice.
And the best part your money goes towards the restoration of the Steam engine in full.
Thanks to Dick for making is available.

Re: New boiler treatment on the market.

Hi Glenn, The latter is correct, One of the chemicals in the product is to do exactly that. It’ll collect all the dissolved particles and hold them in suspension until you blow it down. This product does clean the boiler from deposits already on the existing steel in the boiler shell and tubes and w...

Re: New boiler treatment on the market.

Hi Steve, and I got your message and replied thank you. Carryover is another word for foaming. What happens is that dissolve solids get to be so high in the boiler water content that water will start to travel with the steam out the dry pipe and cause a lot of excessive water to be delivered through...
