One has to wonder on Ebay why a seller would not post a picture of the product they are selling? Does it not raise some suspicion? The ONLY way you know what you are buying is through pictures or going to look at the item in person. Would you buy something at an auction that the auctioneer is holdin...

Keyway Broach set?

Couldn't find a definitive answer in a search so I'll ask my question; I'm looking to buy a keyway broach set for an occasional keyway or two in pulleys that are rebored to a larger size. Does anyone have one of the Import sets and if so how is it holding up? Should I just upscale to the Dumont set?...

Market yourself to the people restoring old garden tractors, that is where the money is. All the old cast iron engines that can no longer be bought new that need repaired. I do a lot of Kohler machining, my hobby is Garden Tractor Pulling and we use the old 50-70's vintage tractors. People are getti...

Dan, I bought V10.0 Deluxe. I use it for engineering drawings. I use it for all my shop drawings as well as some plans I am selling on my website. I had used earlier versions of TurboCad so for me it was just an upgrade. I have not used the 3d as most all of my drawings are in 2d. I have done some I...

I bought a shrinkwrap copy of Turbocad V10 off ebay last year and love it! Cost less than $30 shipped to my door if I recall. It was easy to learn, I do have a background in old school board drawing but that was over 20 years ago. I wanted it strictly for 2d drawing a set of cabinet plans I sell and...

Re: Drill table

Is basically a different, more flexible approach. There are may ways to skin a cat :D Thanks for the explanation, I have a product I manufacture that I drill/ream several small dia holes in (smallest one is .022") and I use a sensitive drill arbor, as I stated I was just curious. Guess it just...

Just curious

I'm just curious as to why a table and not a sensitive drill arbor?

I use a sensitive drill arbor for all my small holes. I would think that a table would give you less tactical feedback due to it's mass?

Not trying to be controversial just wondering why? :)

I'd give that drill press a tad more credit than some of you are giving it. I drilled some serious holes with mine already when building my hydraulic press the other winter. 3/4" holes in 3/4" stock. I had to drill consecutively larger holes though but it worked. I have never had that litt...

A hole saw and flood coolant? If you need accurate hole diameters ie +/-.005" cut undersize 7/8 or 15/16(?) and finish bore them to size in the mill.

I do something similar using .125" alum 6"x6" squares and finish bore them in a 4 jaw chuck on my lathe.
