Kind of sad. The guy had a lot of knowledge, shared it with many, had an awful lot on his plate and when he passed, not one word of reaching out to help the survivors. Must be two, three, dozen guys living within an hours drive or so of his homestead. Not even a pass the hat collection for expenses.

TechTony really needs to buy or borrow a book on basic machining practices. Should be able to find something in your local library before you hurt yourself or damage your machine.

I'm in the minority here, performance may be better, but the look of the home page...barf. Maybe it's just the color choice....I'd have to see old and new side by side.

Find someody on Vintage Machinery dot org with the same machine and contact them. A fellow owner who has restored and uses theirs is probably your best bet.

If your are making (drilling) multiple parts, you really want to be setting the work in a purpose designed fixture that bolts right to the table not a vise. A stout drillpress like the one shown by liveabord would be a better choice than a mill drill.
