Re: Prototype Poppet Valve Throttle
I have a single seat poppet in my 3/4" Hudson. No reason to bother with a double balanced unless you just like to fiddle. I have a sequentially opening double poppet valve on my 3/4" scale Berkshire. It was built by Keith Wood. there are no plans, he built it to suit my locomotive. There ...

The 4-6-4T No. 46 seen running on blocks sits in my shop with a new copper boiler that I built waiting to be fitted.

Re: Little Engines Closed
Sad ... I just hope that things don't get scattered to the winds and lost (patterns, drawings, knowledge .... ). Things get pushed into a corner 'for awhile', pushed again, lost in a move, patterns get damaged just from 'sitting in the corner', patterns get forgotten at a foundry. This is depressin...

Re: David Sclavi
Condolences to Charles Nelson Corrigan. I won't forget a particularly entertaining dinner at a single table off to the side with Dave and a bunch of us "fringe" live steamers during an NJLS Meet. It reminded me of the kids' table at Thanksgiving. Fascinating discussions of machining, railr...

Awesome snow photos. Time to hook up the Russell Plow!
This is Liz pushing one built by Steve Bratina with our 3/4-inch Berkshire a few years ago at the Montreal track. Great fun!

Hey Jack, how about another snow photo? The forecast for you is a lovely blizzard with gusts to 50 mph and a wind chill of 17. So poke the camera out the window and show us what that looks like! :P the Canadians over on the 3.5" Facebook group would call that prime weather for a meet! Run in t...
