Maricopa Live Steamers use a milled plate at the frog. Tough steel and easy to replace since they are stock size.

Maricopa Live Steamers have a standard, I think the opening is

1963 I was assigned to the Fullerton, California strawberry local, we put together a train of REA refers every day during the season. The road train ran as a passenger train with a 70 mph speed limit. The conductor and brakemen worked to Needles, Ca. The engine crew to Barstow.

Marker lamps
American railroad markers were displayed at the rear of the train on the rear corners. on caboose or coaches sockets for the lamps were fixed to the car.

Late model engines used the top delivery, the water did not fall straight in but I think was sprayed in.

How are we measuring the bored hole size? I can get very good outside readings but my inside measurements are less accurate.

Soot builds when the combustibles come in contact with cooler surfaces.
Put a cold spoon in a candle flame and soot will build instantly. Heat the spoon to red hot and almost no soot will form. Your fire box is hot enough to not let soot form.
