I bought the cheapest set of scales from DR Pro's. Having heard of some of the problems associated with using a DTI and overhang etc. I tried a different approach. The longest micrometer standard I have is 11", it is untested as I don't have a mic that big. I used an edge finder and touched both end...

Want to try something interesting........... search for something today. Search for same thing tomorrow and get totally different results, sometimes the previous days result is not there anymore. Sounds like Someone else coughed up more money that day.

The same stuff that is being torn down today.We need the reminders, just like the reminders of old, grand machinery and how it was used. There steered it back to shop machinery related.

As a hint, When Your saw does not cut square and everything You have done does not help, just take Your trusty square and place it along the side of the bar and see if the grooves are not worn unevenly.
