Florida winter meets 2021

Have any dates for the 2021 Winter Meets in Florida been set yet. I am trying to plan out the February vacation to catch a few meets.

Thanks,
Karl

For those who want longer tenders for the larger steam engines, check out Locoparts. He has them.

Re: Arch between engine stand and P/U

I would suggest a aluminum pan like what the Big Boots & Western RR in Florida is selling. You can see it on Discover Live Steam. I have one and it works well.

Re: LOUD diesel horns?

Two suggestions. First suggestion. Go to a automotive recycling yard and hunt for the horns off of something like a Regal or other luxury car. They sound rather nice, although a bit more like a boat horn than locomotive in my opinion. You need to get all 3 or 4 horns though for the nice sound, and t...

Re: Question: parts for a steamer

Regarding tender design and propane, I would vote for carrying the tank(s) in the first car behind the tender. The need for supplying external heat to assist in vaporization in the tank will depend on ambient temperature and how fast you are drawing propane from the tank. It has been my experience r...
