Re: What's fair? (plumber)

Its a sewer line.
No need to thread and replace.
Lots of rubber couplings now days.
I would cut like you said out of the ground and replace as much as I could with PVC.
And install a cleanout at the ground level

Re: Stuck chuck

"You are using a web browser not supported by this website!" This is exactly the problem. Windows XP and the associated Internet Explorer (Version 8.) are both outdated and no longer being supported by Microsoft. Internet technology changes every day and unless you change with it you will...

Check here: http://www.projectsinmetal.com/shop-tip-cleaning-and-refurbishing-a-drill-chuck/ I am not going to subscribe to Projects in Metal just to get the privilege of accessing a website. Interesting, that I clicked on the website, and got through about 1/3 of it. Then it said "You are usi...

Re: Never enough time

MORE GOOD NEWS! The Bank has worked out an offer to continue my mortgage on the basis of my SSD payments being an acceptable income resource. I have paper in hand to be signed and returned. I can now rent my house from them, as I will never own it now . But, I can move my life in diferent direction...

Re: Steam powered box mill.

When I was a young kid, my father had a belt like that, from a PTO off a old tractor to a meat grinder.
My job was to keep feeding the meat into the grinder for him.
The belt was about 3 feet from me at all times. Yes, people wouldn't do that today.

Re: Small engine gas lines

This time, where the destruction we see on even the smallest of engines is obvious on the gas lines, something can be mentioned. They actually do sell the small lines in a set for about 8.00$. It's about 1' of each, 3/32 and whatever but the point is they are falling apart due to the fuel. Curiousl...

Re: If I tell you how I did it could you tell me what it is?

I gave the last piece I made to my friend to try and according to him it fit all the pieces beautifully. Turned out to be M21.5x1 after all. Thank you all for the help and tips. You've saved me again. I just hope he doesn't need any female threads made. I don't know how I'd get the thread wires in ...

Best thing is give up the vice.
And use chain tongs, or a strap wrench.

Re: Another electrical question.

Thanks for all the replies. I would think that it would be a full sine wave. Since I have welded with the AC. I have used it for years, running drills and the like on jobs. And I ran my TV, VCR, and Satellite box during the blackout. I heated my house with a wood fireplace, and worked OK. But, for a...
