Re: PayPal email
Hanz, I have received two similar e-mails. Before giving any information I replied to them and asked for additional information. They never got back to me, so I ignored the e-mails, nothing happened to my account and I later saw something that said these were scams to get personal information and re...

Re: Swapping Bridgeport Mill Table
Hi everyone, I want to thank everyone for their replies. My concern about the table is not cosmetics but function. In the middle T slot there is a mill cut that goes parallel to and directly over the slot along its edge and gets progressively deeper as the cut was made. The result is a weekend and w...

Swapping Bridgeport Mill Table
Hi Everyone, I have 1963 vintage J head with a 36 inch table in atrocious shape. The ways on the machine are chrome and in reasonably nice shape but the table is not. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what is involved in putting a table in better shape on the machine. A friend of mine said tha...

WildBillStill.
I have a manual and parts list and neither of them show the two parts I am refering to, however the oil slinger is refered to. If you need a copy of either of the two pubs I have let me know.

Re: Brown&Sharp Surface Grinder
WildBillStill, I have a 6X18 Flat belt drive that I took the spindle apart on and are presenty trying to sracp it using the spindle as the refference, as the manual says to do. There is the remains of pin or spring that looks like it prevented the thrust bearing, that pushes the spindle into the tap...

Joe,
I only saw one picture of the base. It looks like a number 2. If you have the rest of it and would like a copy of a manual and copy of a parts book let me know.

Shortening a Mod. 98 Action by 1 inch
Hi, Probably about 12 years ago I read an article on shortening a pre 64 Winchester Mod. 70 action and was wondering if anyone had any experience doing such things? It inspired me to start a similar project with a 1909 Argentine action, however, I was wondering if there were any legal issues with do...
