Re: Rebuilding a 1" scale 2-10-2

Thanks for starting this thread. I've been seeing your posts on FB and have been contemplating start a similar such thread on the 1" scale D&RGW 4-8-4 I'm slowly working on rebuilding. I may just get one started now.

SIncerely,

Love your finished product with this gorgous Allen Models Ten-Wheeler. I'm a huge D&RGW fan (primarily SG) and would love to see some of your modeling work!

Cab has been removed and tubes, flues and superheaters are also out of the engine now. They are making good progress so far.

Re: Pennsy 4396 under steam.

Dick,

I remember seeing this engine undergoing a rebuild at Kenny King's place near Latrobe, PA nearly 25 years ago before Kenny passed. The I-1's are pretty impressive locomotives in any scale.

Re: Roger Goldmann passed away

Dianne, We are all so saddened to hear of your brother's passing. We had heard that he hadn't been well this past year or so. He did indeed create a phenomenal design and casting sets for the UP Challenger and Big Boy as well as his Heavy Pacific and USRA 0-6-0 switcher. I've yet to hear anyone have...

Re: Wasatch Railroad Contractors Bankruptcy Auction

How many reproduction Cagney's did John finish? I believe he started 6. I'm aware of one near Tupper Lake, NY that was delivered and finally finished and made operable. I did not show up that way and took some time to get it right.

Re: Pennsy 4396 under steam.

Dick,

Great video! Great to see Andy steaming the 4396. I saw this engine over 20 years ago in the midst of a rebuild at Kenny King's railroad near Latrobe, PA. She was in pieces but she looks fabulous now. What does he fire her with? Coal?

Thanks for sharing,

Elm53, indeed. In the grand scheme of things, this was a minor incident with only property damage. Had there been no human error, there would be no need for any further need for more communication. But we are all human, and all prone to missing what appears to be the obvious by all the Monday-mornin...

Re: Wayne Godshall - Serious Accident - Reaching the Shop

Wayne is slowly on the mend. I have been in touch with him in the last couple of weeks. If you're looking for something that's in stock, they will probably be able to get it out the door to you in a reasonable period of time. If you're looking for custom work, it's not going to happen very quickly. ...

Thanks for all the tips and leads. Alexander has confirmed that this stuff matches the Culp rail design and I should be able to get joint bars from him. Thanks again everyone.
