I had one for a sea doo GT ,stand was to low and to short ,would not want to put my pacific on it ,1100 lbs ,2” angle iron and some 2” sq tube welded up much faster,and was safe to put engine and tender 3’ in the air to work on engine and load on off it.safety first !!! Just my thoughts

The 1 1/2” scale Fairmont section car is owned by the Niagara Frontier Live Steamers ,Eden Ny, it is run regularly by club members,it has been reworked with new wheels and some major motor work,but still runs fine.

If you’re making Bronze piston valves try to use the same Bronze the cylinders are made of,not brass ,I have had great luck with fine grade gray iron piston valves running in cast Bronze cylinders.the reason.
