Re: Interesting discussion....,

There used to be a Mogul that looked like it was built using the Raritan plans and parts, and it also had a tender on it just like this one that said 'The Rebel Route' on it. Could this be the same person? Yes it is. The Mogul is still owned by his son Mike. Another great running locomotive. Tim

Re: Interesting discussion....,

The locomotive was built by Ralph Richards. I ran it in the 80s. Great little engine. His son would like to purchase it if it ever goes up for sale again.

Re: Globe valves an fittings

Eccentric Engineer has great looking fittings. At this time they will need to be tapped or counterbored and soldered.

I have found that couterboring works better than drilling.

Jeff's parts are top shelf. Great to add details that make a car stand out.

Re: Superscale Hancock check valves

Have you contact Dave Bortz? He purchased Superscale. He was able to supply me with a valve I needed. He is working on getting everything in stock.

Does anyone else make quite the same products though? For example if you want gas locos I suppose trainworks? Then for Pass cars - RRSC ? What about for all those various freight car models?
There are plenty of manufactures of ready to run models.

Re: 1915 1/8” scale mogul

It would not surprise me if it was 7-1/16" gauge.

Very well done with the brass version of the retainer valve.

This may encourage me to develop the wasp exclusion device which was very popular out west where any small diameter hole was a prime residence for certain varieties of wasps.
Thanks you
