Steel plates are mounted on the car frame. A slot is provided at the back of each plate that holds the footplate of the tank. New Propane car

Still have a few details to add and need to get the second 30 lb. tank. I have quick connects on each end and can isolate each tank.

I agree with Fred. I have a turbine blade from a model jet engine and when I hit it with my shop air It easily spins up to 10,000 rpm. In fact it is scary to hold the shaft I spin it on.

Lettering on tongue/groove

I am getting ready to letter a car with tongue and groove siding. Just wondering what is the best choice. I used vinyl letters on my caboose and just cut the letters over a groove. When you connect the two together any difference in pressure will equalize.

RGS had them...…The picture I have looks like two runners with pipe rungs using straps to hold each rung.

Wood Refrigerator car ladders

Does anyone have drawings or photos of the ladders used on narrow gauge reefers?
I would like to model them but would like more info on their construction and mounting.
