That's it! Looks like from the original booklets-

That is a fine resource--thanks for pointing it out. Wonder if that is where the periscope guys got the texts?

That certainly is a magnificent piece of work there Dave, with some familiar-looking couplers!!

Are all those rivets real?

Book you might be interested in

There is an outfit called "Periscope Films" that is doing a nice job on some reprints these days. I don't know them, work for them, or have anything to do with it other than as a customer but there is one in particular that you all might like to see. These guys got hold of a set of the "Locomotive B...

I don't even know you, man.

I gave you my phone number, feel free to use it.

This is a wonderful, informative board and I will NOT participate in messing it up.

Thanks LL--great to hear from you. Harry and I made some wonderful friends while we did that stuff. Most all the people we dealt with were really great and I am so happy so many of the manuals got to the people who needed them. The guys for the most part were really a tremendous bunch of folks. I gu...

Little River Reprints

Harry and I sold the Little River book business in 2004 to a group in Alabama that promptly shut it down. We gave good service, had good stuff and did what we said. Loco 112, I don't know who you are but I sure resent you coming at me in a public forum. If you have some kind of problem with me them ...

I would stick with the rings. They really do a better job in a reciprocating cylinder. Are you having some bypass now? I finished my 1 1/2" 0-6-0 in 1980, and she is still tight. If you will keep the crossheads worked so she stays in line properly, those iron rings should last a long time. I am a hy...

I have just used ball valves, but one of my buddies is a great craftsman and rivet counter. He built a Maxi-7 in 3 3/4"scale 7 1/2" gauge and took the drawings from a 1925 loco cyclopedia and scaled them to use in that engine. It is exactly like the old throttles, pilot valve and all. I have spent a...

Yes, the copyrights are still applicable. Copyright law has gotten increasingly complicated with the litigation over file sharing that has been going on for the past few years. In fact, it is downright nasty these days. We deal with copyrights all the time in the real world and the 75 year law is in...

The ICS material is still copyright protected. All of their information has had copyrights renewed with each new edition and with each new owner of the company. The new material on CD is of excellent quality, and copright cleared. Thanks for going to the trouble and to Penn Warren for granting right...
