Re: Looking for 3.5 or 3.75 scale

Suppliers
When you read that subject line I would bet you thought it was another horror story, well it is not. A couple of months ago I decided to put air brakes on my train, after reading several post I was not looking forward to dealing with any supplier. I use Tom Bee and Mountain Car trucks, I contacted T...

No I don't, I thought you needed the drawing. What you are looking for would have supplied to the buyer with the boiler.

Re: Steam Age Boilers
I just dug through all of the Steam Age boiler drawings that I have and did not find a drawing for a RRSC 4-4-0 steel boiler. Sorry if I got your hopes up.

Re: Steam Age Boilers
Most Steam Age boilers were built to the original manufacturers prints, although sometimes if the owner wanted something custom new prints were drawn, I have some of the revised drawings. Send me the name of the person who ordered the boiler, type of engine, and some idea of the date and I will chec...

Re: Lubricator
I use two clicks on my Mikado, still uses oil a little quick, I just added on to the reservior, made it about triple the original size and made the top lift off to fill. I didn't like the screw cap, it was difficult to operate with gloves on.

Re: LE Rotary Throttle Build
I built one a couple of months ago for my Mikado, I didn’t use castings, just used stock. It works great and is able to handle much higher heat than any commercial valve the I have found. I followed the prints with one exception, I made the ports larger because I wanted the throttle lever to have a ...

Re: Re-light an oil burner
The link above to model engine plans, they sell a kit for a buzz coil, works great on my Oil fired Mikado. Works on 6 or 12 volts, I used a champion heater igniter has about a 2" reach so it is closer to the fuel spray. Works great.
