Has anyone come up with a device to crush coal into smaller sizes? I'm running a smaller 3/4" loco and it definitely seems to prefer pea sized chunks. A hammer is effective, but not really too efficient.

Great pictures! I bet the person you took them for is going to be really happy with the quality and the details shown. Of course, since he doesn't have prior board approval, he won't be able to smile since someone has already done one of those.

I believe that Tom Zambreno, of the Illinois Live Steamers, has at least one of the locos. I don't know how often it gets exercised, though.

Don't forget the upcoming NJLS Fall Meet - Oct 3/4/5.

HiLine track in good shape - was on it 2 weeks ago.
1" ground has new signals installed.
1 1/2" continues with upgrading.

Gas is $3.32/gal. at my favorite place. $3.50 or so everywhere else.
