so the pressure on the gas feed to the Corvair carbs was so severe as to require a double flare. ?

cool....musta been a really quick Corvair :shock:

Ditto on the nice.

I think we have similar "almost too small to be useful" rotary tables.

The only nice thing about my small rotary table is that I can lift it.

careful...you may loosen up dirt and have it float into the bearing areas.....

THAT'S cool....

we have an old tractor with a leaky shaft seal on the diesel injector pump....that dribbles into the lube oil sump.....

so I have learned to ask about that is not obvious....

i have seen gear driven pumps that had internal shaft leaks that would dump hyd oil out the drive shaft and down into....wherever...

combine with slightly leaky control valves and you can have thinks that drop in the night.....

or hydraulic oil in your lube oil sump.... :shock:

is what I remember steve doing - although it had troughs in it to increase the surface area....

seem to remember is looking like an accordion from the top with holes in the V sides....

didn't smell like a popcorn engine though :shock:

Did you put new seals in the hydraulic pump?

Is the hyd pump belt driven or mounted on the engine black and gear driven?
