Take a look at www.locoparts.biz. Locoparts has all kinds of boiler checks and 1-1/2" check valves. Highest quality.

Need help with boring bar
I bought a boring bar at Cabin Fever this past weekend that had been made by DTM. Unfortunately, this company has gone out of business, and I get no hits on google. The model of the bar is DTM-CBS-4. Does anyone have a catalog they can look up this bar for me and then tell me what insert it is suppo...

Book sets for sale
I would prefer to sell these here rather than mess with ebay My wife is still after me to start getting rid of stuff for when we downsize (shudder!) in a few years. I have these 2 sets of books available for a reasonable offer: Email me off-line with your offer. locopart@erols.com. I will hold this ...

Re: Assistance needed on steam engine sources
I just went to the Reeves web site, and I think (almost positive) its a Reeves Commander. beautiful engine, but if I built it my wife would not let me put it on the hearth in the family room, and thats all I planned to do with it when I bought it.
Take a look at it...its a beautiful engine.

Re: Conway Locomotive castings and drawings
They look like the Conway 2-1/2" scale C-19 castings. I built one of these but the castings you have look a whole lot better than the ones I had to work with. 'COurse that was 'bout 20 or so years ago. Regret I can be of no further help as the drawings went with the engine when I sold it. don o...

This particular snifter is a Sellars type. If you do not wish to make your own, Locoparts has them available in stock in 2-1/2" scale.

Re: Wanted: drawing for D&RG stock car
I am surprised that no one mentioned this, but if you want the ultimate guide and info on building a D&RGW stock car, there is a book called "Taking StocK". They are pricey (I paid $75 for mine) and the only place I could find it was at the Colo RR museum. That was several years ago, s...
