Jack, What do you use to clean up your parts after silver soldering? Mine look pretty terrible until some rough filing and the sand blasting. Is there any pickling agent that will take off the black scale

Mogul tender

The proportions really look nice with the small stretch of the tender length. Exactly where did you put the 3" extension? The original photographs of 573 reveal a backup light as well as a water hatch in the aft portion of the tender beyond the coal bin. This doesn't leave much room for a seat....
