East Coast Locomotive Works

I seem to remember a long time ago a company that sold castings for a Pacific 4-6-2 I believe.

I thought the name of the company was East Coast Locomotive Works.

Does anyone remember this company and known what happened to them or the patterns for the engine?

Just curious.
Thanks

Re: I'm just an operator

As neither and operator or a machinist I am constantly amazed at the works of art produced by both manual and CNC machines. I believe there is a great deal of skill in both and most of it overlaps. I don’t think you can successfully produce parts with CNC unless you know how they would be made the o...

Allen Consolidation vs Ten Wheeler

Has anyone built the Allen Consolidation? I was wondering if it is more or less complicated then the Ten Wheeler? I assume with the smaller drivers and more of them, it should pull a little better and the outside valve gear is nice. Would like to hear from someone who has built one or at least seen ...

Re: Converting a Allen models Chloe 0-4-2 to a 2-4-0

In the old Allen models catalog, I believe there was a picture of a 2-4-0 using Chloe parts, so it can be done.

Station, Road, Steam Stafford locomotive

Has anyone seen one of the StstionRoadSteam 0-4-0 Stafford locomotives running?
Everything I have seen on the web makes it look like a great starter locomotive if someone wants a bolt together kit but I was curious if anyone has actually seen one run?
Thanks

I had the pleasure of meeting Cal at the Nevada State Railroad Museum and to see his fantastic engines. He was a great craftsman and a really nice guy.

Speaking of kits, does anyone actually make a machined kit anymore?

Live Steam Magazine June 1967

Does anyone have a copy of Live Steam, June 1967, that they might be willing to sell? Second choice would be a scan.
Thanks
