Re: Skating Away
Hi John, Those are great little skates. If you ever decide to make more for us 1" folks, I would be willing to purchase some. I too have no problem with yellow. I can see them. We have a nice grade at LALS on the approach to the turn table that has always been a pain for me. These would be perf...

Re: What is a riding scale?
Mr. Ron, I have to agree with Mike here. Any scale that you can put a human on is riding scale. As for your comment about stability and 4-3/4", I own a F7 A unit and a gondola. I can pull myself and two to three adults with no stability issues. As long as the track is level and well maintained,...

Re: Restoring a modified Allen 2-4-0 barn find
Hi David. On the LALS web site, once you have logged in go to "Members Home" and open up the Documents page. I could not find it at first either.

Re: Phoenix Sound System & Iron Pony Engine
I replaced my sound card on my F7 when I blew it up. (Don't ask) Anyway Rod sent me a new one and it was plug and play. Since the F7 was built for me, I would check the wiring on your engine to make sure it is correct. Some of the adjustment pots, do very slight changes. Sometimes they are hard to d...

Re: 3/4" and 1" mini meeting at LALS ?
Normally the third Sunday is our Small Scale day. The meet is just a way other than the club meet in May, to get our small scale members out.

Re: plastic ties
The stock comes from American Plastic Lumber here in Ca. They get it from back east. We buy it in bulk.
DFB No they are not. They come in 10ft sticks.

Re: plastic ties
We have since gone to 2x2x10ft plastic ties. We cut them down to 10" lengths. Trying to rip the larger pieces to a width we needed was never fun and very dangerous. They work very well as Cary stated earlier. Nice clean look too.

I have two Interstate 12 volt deep cycle batteries on my engine. Holds a nice charge and lasts a long time. Not cheap.

Re: UP 4014 Progress Videos
L.L., When I was there last weekend one of the crew mentioned that they were moving it to Colton first before heading to Wyoming. They will be laying track from the exibit site to the main line so it can be rolled over and pulled to Colton. When I asked about when they were going to move it, they re...

Re: READING 0-4-0 CAMEL BACK
Harlock, The 4 3/4" camel back you saw was owned by the live steam group down in Torrence. At one time they were going to sell it but I dont know if that ever happened. They brought it to LALS to test run.
