Re: Wanted 5C Collets

Steve I think for what Tim is wanting to do if would be fine we are only talking about 6 thou under size - I do it all the time when I make my bolts no issues and I have made 100's of the little suckers . Re: Wanted 5C Collets

Just buy the following collects - 11/64 - 9/64 - 3mm - pretty simple these are within a few thou of what you require and will pull down to the size you want quite easy .
A 5C collet can pull down quite a way from the stated measurement .

I have been reading the various thoughts and suggestions and seeing it seems to involve articulated engines - Challenger I know a person building one . I thought it would take me 10 years and 10000 hrs but 22 years later and close to 12000 hrs i'm still going with a wild guess of another 2 - 3000 hr...

Re: Tom bee

I had the same issue with Goldmann all though it did not apply to me but someone who approached me. They promised supply by a certain date but 8 years later still nothing. I don't understand why people can't be honest - if you cant supply for what ever reason let people know - in this hobby there is...

Re: Restored Australian garrett in action

Here is the Australian AD60 that was in Washington state being built by Trevor Heath , these photos were taken about 6 years ago . Re: welding boiler

The Australian model boiler code accepts Mig welding as my Challenger boiler is partly mig and Tig ,and that is a tough code .

Cant remember now what material was used to meet the code , someone will know from OZ or NZ .
