Re: Copper Boiler Design

Bill, I actually don't have much of a plan, but was more inquiring. It seems like the original builder that started the boiler was planning on using the 3/8" thickness as the "flange" for enough solder on the lap. It seems there going to be pockets milled into the plates to make them ...

Re: Copper Boiler Design

This is an old thread, but since the discussion went from design (flow and areas) to construction (Fastening and silver soldering), I'd like to revive it for a discussion on sheet design. I'm currently in ownership of a 1" engine with a copper boiler which has some parts made for it but far fro...

Re: REAL Scary!

Saw some of this boiler, Absolutely crazy. This must have used some REALLY terrible water on top of the neglect. Marty - Do you think there was some off spec steel used? I just couldn't believe the sheets of rust in this thing. For the age it nearly seems impossible but obviously we are seeing it....

Re: Bowlus Engineering Inc? What all did they make?

Thanks John. I didn't see that one in my searches but it also doesn't say any more than you pasted from the site. Answers a little of who but still kinda curious what all they may have made/marketed.

Re: Mystery Injector

I have one just like it in my box. "BB" people called them but I'm not sure the make either. I think they are an English knock off of a penberthy but wish I had more details for you as well.
