Re: EE Product Updates - 5/3/19

Hello Anthony, Since I'm sure you don't have enough on your plate already, Have you any plans or news about the Nathan 4000?

Thanks, Vic

Re: Steam railroading to return to Alaska!

Hello Dick, glad you faired well. I am in the Nor Cal Bay Area so these things are always in the back of your mind. On a lighter more selfish note how is the restoration coming along.

Stay safe and well, Vic

Re: Forum Board Statistics

The numbers strike me as sales puffery, frivolous, erroneous, and meaningless or in today’s age, fake. ] This won't be an authentic explanation as I'm not the owner of this site, but an observation to a question that to me seems a little off. Erroneous, meaningless maybe. Sales puffery,frivolous,fa...

Re: Alcalde & Coalfield High Line

Hello Jack, The railroad and landscaping look great. You are quite the artist and craftsman. I will have see it in person. I think it may be a little like going to Disneyland. Will we need E tickets to ride the high line ? Keep up the good and hard work.

Re: SP E27 4-4-0 and WP 165 0-6-0

I visited Eds' shop a couple of weeks ago and here are a few more progress pics. The boilers are both under construction with some more fitment and welding to be done to the fireboxes. The smokeboxes and smokebox doors are also well underway. The SF 2900 is also coming along nicely.

Re: cylinder cock plumbing

No. Steam/boiler pressure keeps them closed by means of a small piston inside the cylinder cock body. Thru the porting of the cylinder cock body, if hydraulic pressure in the cylinder were to over come boiler pressure, the piston will be forced up and the valve will automatically open. When boiler p...
