Re: PRR E44

Haven't heard of one, but I do love the "odd ball" models people build and show off. There's something very nice about keeping the design in operation. Pennsy had a slug of steam and electric designs that they never preserved. That would be a collection to see!

Re: ALCO cab nose measures?

Yes! Exactly that! That's pretty much what I want to reproduce. Whether it's a PA nose, as shown, or and FA, as desired, the pedigree is perfect. I want to cast them in 1/8th scale.
So talk to me.

ALCO cab nose measures?

Does anyone have measurements, either actual or 1/8th scale, for the beautiful headlight configuration on an ALCO FA or PA cab unit?

Drawings would be better still. Thank you.

Re: Dimension Engineering controller question

If you figure it out, let me know! I have a similar panel which would be very sexy for a new Diesel-Electric!

BTW, is that locomotive a model of the "Aerotrain of Tomorrow" or a poor-man's "Flying Yankee"?

Marker light lenses- availability and sizes?

Project for 2019 - going to add scale marker lamps to a steam locomotive and possibly make some on various scales. Right now, concentrating on PRR style four-legged markers. Are scale lenses available and from where? Looking for 1/8th scale, then perhaps larger.

Thanks!

Scuttlebutt has it that this Camelback rally may be coming off at Finger Lakes, this August. So, who are we certain is in?
I'll be there with 1179, God willing.

Trains and Christmas. Like, there's an argument against that?

Re: Engine stand

I'm going with the larger wheels on mine as well. I may do the tube extension as suggested earlier. I couldn't live steam without my HF table. I recently saw it on sale for $279. Can't beat it.
