so how high is the crown sheet?

Morning Glenn, just looking at the attached picture, the first order of business would be to pop the three unions on the steam feed to gain a clear shot of the blast nozzle/s . it looks at the two exhaust pipes have a 45 degree elbow, is that accurate? if this is true, this will need to be replaced....

Mine is an oil burner, the crown sheet is flat, and if I use the 1/2"above rule there isn't any room for steam above that line. maybe a sq picture of the back head with a ruler, also stick you finger in the fire box door and get a measurement from the bottom of the crown sheet to the top of your fi...

assuming you are talking about the jacket. the dumb way I did mine, i took the circumference of each end, centering end that on the sheet metal with the spacing equal to the run and drew intersecting lines. cut and rolled by hand. surprising, it worked with minor tweaking. just leave enough to have ...

my Allen American and Ten Wheeler both would go around a 25 foot radius with not issue. i would suggest steel rail and steel tires to keep wear in check. a blind center driver will help a lot.

From what I have seen of John's 20ton. It will Madea great base . Will need to mod the frame if you want to use the tee boiler but very do able.

sounds like you have the understanding.
the lap is constant (this number is set elsewhere), C (block) needs to match C (valve) and P (block) needs to match P (valve) plus Lap.
