Re: 1144 stressproof

Glenn, I'll remember that one for sure. Thanks I will definately use that info. Richard_W , You pretty much confirmed what I was beginning to realize. Thanks for the extra kick in the pants to get me to that conclusion. I wasn't going to let that 4-jaw chuck win since I had to mount it. I went back ...

Re: 1144 stressproof

Thanks for the advise everyone. I'm working on the project today and am going to turn the stressproof between centers. First time attempting turning between centers. lol, That so far is being a challenge. I planned on using the 4-jaw chuck and a live center. But my 4-jaw chuck skills were never deve...

Re: 1144 stressproof

Thanks Glen. I didn't do my homework before I bought it . At first I was just going to get some cold rolled and changed my mind on the way there. I was relying on the knowledge of the salesman at the metal store. He did not seem very knowledgeable so I was a little nervous since it wasn't free. Not ...

Re: BBQ Grill Light

I have been wearing one of those stupid LED flashlights that mounts on your forehead with a band. Somewhat addictive. I use those head band led flashlights going into attics and under buildings doing electrical work. its really a life saver being able to have both hands free to work or catch yourse...

Re: BBQ Grill Light

websterz, But does it have the clamp and the magnets? Man, and I thought I was on to something. Well, I will have to go over to the lighting section and look. While I was there I picked up a 8" bench grinder as well. It's a (spell) Porta Cable? Has a variable speed dial. Been looking for a vari...

BBQ Grill Light

Was at Lowe's today and seen this grill light. I didn't trust the holding strength of the segmented adjustable tubing (watchamacallit) so I opened the package in the store to check it. To my suprise it was very stiff and plenty good enough to support the led lamp. It has magnets on the base for moun...

Re: chip shield

websterz, I feel your pain. I bet if you are patient and start looking you can find a place outside the city. The price seems to be less the farther from city limits you are. I guess because everything of convenience is a bit farther away. First responders in an emergency take forever to get there, ...

Re: chip shield

websterz, Thanks for the comment. I am about 15 minutes north of Edmond Ok. Out in the sticks. Love the peace and quite. Were on five acres. Tree lines on either side and can only see one house from here, across the road our neighbor. We have a good relationship. They stay to themselves and we stay ...
