A follow up, I got the box they cut the wires which made it some what easier, stripping, crimping, making sure that I put the wire markers on before crimping, them putting said wires on to the proper screws where I was lucky if I could get 2 fingers in the space allowed but 2 hours later TA DA done,...

just a shot in the dark, but does any one have a set of prints for the building/machining of a Tiny power M twin, was gifted a half built M twin but the prints have flown the coop. WOW this thing is big will weigh about 400 LBS when done, and probably will need a bigger boat 23+ foot long and a bigg...

Thanks for the reply's, been in touch with the widow, and the control box is still mounted on the wall she is going to have it removed and sent to me , fortunately they didn't disconnect the wires they cut them so I just have to match the colors, can't wait to use this machine been using a 9" 1...

Russ I've been on the site and it only shows the final connection to the input wiring, my box was disconnected from the lathe, the box was found actually it wasn't lost the person that disconnected it didn't realize that it needed to be left with the lathe, it is being shipped to me but I don't know...

The proper way to do this is to put a spacer in between the bearings, crank it as tight as you want and not hurt the bearings

It's probably to late, but I don't like straps as much as I like chains I use chains over finished surfaces but I also put the chains inside old fire hose not the new flimsy stuff the old canvas with rubber inside them, yes I do use straps but I always have at least 1 chain holding the item from mov...

Just make 2 new legs and machine 2 new caster wheels ,2 discs of steel with a hole thru them. They will be the strongest part of your hoist.

I've changed my mind (again) got tired of the old one LOL I''m going to 2" scale and 7 1/4 gauge, a friend has loaned me an April 1973 Model Railroader mag that has a center fold the GE 44 tonner, the nice part about 2" scale is just double all the feet into inches , such as 30' = 60"...
