For Sale: 2017 6'x12' CargoMate Train Hauler / Sleeper Cargo Trailer ****SOLD****
After talking with the wife we have decided to go to a more traditional Toy Hauler or Travel trailer route for our hauling and accommodations. Plus with my more recent short comings in mobility, a regular trailer setup would benefit my needs better. So as such I am putting our current trailer up for...

Up for sale 1.5" Scale 7.5" gauge 24v Electric Boxcab
Up for sale is my 1.5" Scale 7.5" gauge 24v Electric Boxcab. It is one of the Chris Brew designed locomotives supplied to me in kit form that was built up by me. Can easily pull the associated train with 5 adults easily. Locomotive has Ride Trains Sound and Control package with functioning headlight...

Re: GE 23 ton boxcab in 7.5" gauge / 1.5" scale
Jawn, Thank you sir. But only construction kuddo's can be credited to me. Its actually one of Chris Brew's prototypes built with my own twists here and there. Its my first build to date and have been very happy with it. As for scale I believe Chris designed them at 1.6" vs 1.5". He can chime in more...

Re: New Project GE 23T Boxcab in 1.5" scale.
Here is a quick pic of how she rolls these days. The flat had seats and pedestals added a few weeks ago. The gon was built up this last spring/summer for the kids to have a riding car. Still needs detail work but is proving itself a rugged little car. Anyhow here it is from this last weekend's SVLS ...

Re: New Project GE 23T Boxcab in 1.5" scale.
So I have been absent for a while due to family health issues and work. Luckily all have resolved themselves in a good way for once and can get back with some updates. The locomotive has seen quite a few meets now and hours of running. I am also pleased to say it has never hit the ground (knocks on ...

Re: GE 23 ton boxcab in 7.5" gauge / 1.5" scale
Jawn if going for a 23T reasonably close to scale you can mount the motor above the deck plate yes, but there will be plenty of room below it for the motor. From experience you will want the room in the cab that the motor in your design is occupying. As for the drive chain #25 is more than adequate ...

Re: GS-1, finishing up the hard way
The locomotive is absolutely gorgeous. Got to see it in person this last weekend running. Great work on a beautiful loco. Me and a few friends kept joking about it being loaded in the wrong truck when it was leaving the meet.

Re: New Project GE 23T Boxcab in 1.5" scale.
LOL Chooch. Well they are work I totally agree. Well about half the grabs are installed at this point. Think it really makes things pop and not seem so blah anymore. Once these are on and the loco is brought back to a running state this is how she will stay for a while. After the move gets completed...

Re: New Project GE 23T Boxcab in 1.5" scale.
Wanted to post a quick blurb. Started reassembling last night. Lots of rewiring for the new amp and the headlight. Took longer than I expected so it may add an extra day or 2 to the process.
