GPS might but also know that there are Apps on phones that can do the same thing (provided you have signal I think.) I know a buddy used a GPS based speedo app while we were out on his boat to see how fast we could go.

Re: More line closures at LALS ??? What's going on ???
Would hate to see anything more than the precautions already taken happen to the club. I grew up going to the club beginning in the early 80's. There are no words the feeling of being able to bring my little ones to the club with our own equipment and hang out with all the great people.

I really do like the looks of the European locomotives. Just look so elegant, yet are powerful and fast. Thanks for posting.

Oh wow that is not good. Hope it can get figured out or handle by next year spring meet. That was the primary route for those of us with equipment that took up residence on the west end during the meet.

Re: Bill Conner
Oh my this is sad to hear. My condolences to his friends and family. Like Mike I first learned how to run a steam engine on my good friend Tom Osterdock's Conner Beam Engine 2+2. I also continue to help Tom maintain the loco and train new engineers in the hobby on his equipment. This little loco is ...

Chooch,
You are a life saver. I have been struggling to find a proper light for my brass headlight housing's for the Boxcab. They have several options to choose from. Perfect timing my friend.

Ok so the need to use my trailer for something else other than hauling the loco arose. So it was time to cobble together a loco stand. So some lumber, Angle iron, laying around and a $10 HF movers dolly later and we have a nice sturdy stand.

Ran the Boxcab all weekend at the LALS Spring meet. She again ran great again all weekend. Thanks to all for the compliments that were shared at the meet. Will get some video up this week for both meets. Also did pick up some head lights that I think will look awesome for this beastie.

Here is a quick video of the sound system. Should work well for the weekend but think its needs a bit of tweaking still.

Re: New Project GE 23T Boxcab in 1.5" scale.
Just completed a test run of the sound system. Everything works great but still need to get an adequate speaker/speakers. The test speakers were easily overtaxed by the bell and whistle. I have acquired a set of 5 1/4" speakers that should do well. Should have them installed before loading up for LA...
